for when i settle in

Probably the best bedroom to sleep in and have breakfast in bed. And that parked commuter bike is so genius. I've always, always had a thing for simple, white, VERY puffy linen sheets. This lazy self will stay in bed all day, i can be quite a bear.

If i raise enough money sometime soon, i might just go on a hunt for them. Part of a few installations i'm thinking of for my new room when i start living on campus. I'm off to dream a little more.

won't be gone for too long..

Thank you for the well wishes and sweet words, friends! It's really coming together and looking back, it was all hardwork right from the beginning, starting with trying to convince myself and my folks that this can work out.

I researched, attended international university fairs, got in touch with school representatives, did my sums.. A handful, really. Maybe even more. I enjoy watching it all fall into place now and have been daydreaming way too much for my own good too.

It's saddening that i can't find time to blog much. I bet you know how happy i am when i am here, blogging. I want to check in as often as i used to. Share my breakfasts and interesting finds, post randomly, upload pictures..

But all that won't happen till next month when work subsides. For now, all my time is consumed by work and the rest i need for it. I'll keep things moving here as much as i can but apologize if you hit to find nothing in weeks.

I'll be back (as in officially back and blogging) next month. Till then, enjoy all of April!

university admission part II: officially accepted!

I am officially accepted! And will start my new life as a new person, in a new place, a new school. I will meet new people, experience new things, all in a new setting. And all by myself.

I will learn so much and try so many things an island (also known as a 'country') cannot offer.

That's going to be one hella adventure.

i am alive!

Here to say hi and assure you that yes, i am alive. Tell you what i've been up to when i can.

It's so good to see the blog world remain colourful. Fresh ideas, cool recommendations, new movements, hot gossips. I want to plunge into the fun too! But i suppose that must wait. I'll see you back here later.

Happy blogging!

and my happy pill today..

To have discovered this! Ah, how rad is this place? It certainly didn't allow design to overwhelm the feeling of 'home'. Can't believe how pretty it is just so simple like that. I'll be one of those to enjoy a place like this because i laze around at home too often. Also nuts about big windows and lots of sunlight pouring in. Except, i would probably change the colour of the walls and get some frames up.

I must be getting old.. and fast. Sheesh. (via blackeiffel)

university admission

I've been busy putting together documents and transcripts for my university admission and i am as excited as i am teary and heartbroken.

I don't know how to live away from my brother and my bf. :(

underneatheradar

Just recently, my brother designed a logo for a friend of ours who, along with a collective of her friends, became involved in the Singapore Indie Documentary Festival. Her team, underneatheradar, brought down a number of documentaries and shorts tackling poverty, politics, mass consumption, and social issues. I am deeply moved and take my hats off to them. Ah, this is superb.

I am very passionate about this line of work but unlike them, i failed to do much in the fight except whine about not having time, inspiration and resources. Just watching the success of this team blew me away. I salute.

Please support this, my dears!I reckon it's going to be inspirational and hopefully, life changing for us. See you there!

en pointe

(by noraini)

My old pal rang me up while i was in my stupor one morning and asked if he could borrow my pointe shoes. You bet i was shocked. His sweet girlfriend has a project that she's working on and needs it for the shoot she was doing. I had no second thoughts about it and check out the end product! They were so sweet to have bothered sending me a copy (i've met many people who don't, sadly).

So pretty hey?

I had the shivers when i first saw it. It sums up my relationship with dance very, very accurately. And ironically, it's only incidental. Like the song 'Killing Me Softly'. This is starting to sound dramatic and i'm chuckling already. See you on the morrow, my loves!

my perfect monday

I love that it rained all morning so i stayed in and made the most out of my time at home and am so pleased with today. I've been complaining about not having time to do the things i love and i did it all just now. There's no place better to be at on a wet monday morning than home.

Fixed myself a decent breakfast, did some exercise, watched the 2nd series of 'Come Dine With Me', read the news, blog-hopped, fooled around with facebook and now, blogging.
Perfect.
