Hello,

I know i've been away for far too long. During which, I have met lovely people i've never met in my life who told me they read & love my blog. I am awfully touched & i don't think i've ever felt anything like it when i meet people like you. Strangers who have connected with me anonymously, maybe even spiritually, but surfaced for a little, special friendship. I think it's magical that we love what we love & have found each other. Nothing flatters me more than when you enjoy my blog but i shouldn't just say it. So that's why i'm here.. yet again. I appreciate your encouragement, my friends. For you, i am forever thankful.

life is this random

Just when i thought i've almost completely recovered, i'm sick again. Why?

Times are rough now for me, so small doses of comfort comes in the form of your friend wanting to catch up at 3.30am for a drive which eventually became an emotional vomiting over a glass of green tea and fruit punch. First step to natural healing.

For that i've not slept all night and i'm simply miserable so let's make it snappy, i'm going on a road trip across the border from Friday till mid week and till then, no posts. Don't miss me.

a little late today..

Sorry. If you're wondering where i've been, i'm just right here in front of the screen, finger clicking and eyes darting all over the web. January's almost over and though i'm so pleased with how this year started, i'm still trying to pump it up further as we go along the months. With respect to my blog, i'm already on the mill getting a few new things started and running so i am actually suggesting you stick around and watch them unfold.

For a quick update..

I'm working on trying to get my camera fixed or replaced because blogging isn't the same without it.

My brother's churning out a rad blog so stay tuned.

Cease to cook temporarily until i own a functioning camera and a mentally stimulated mind.

No projects for now but i'm looking for a book club to be a part of. If you know any, please comment and share. You'll be rewarded with good karma, i'm certain.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I don't celebrate Christmas but i do take the opportunity to join in the fun and cook dinner for my family. In this house, we love chatting over good home-cooked dinners.

On a separate note, it's my second x'mas with you folks and i'd like to thank you for reading my humble blog. I'm also very grateful for the friendships we've made through here. Just got home from a surreal domestic holiday weekend. It's now time to catch up with the real world and some sleep.

I'm spending my time at home to laze and didn't expect to find myself reminiscing Freo; its good food, amazing coffee, awesome cafes and the wonderful friends i made there. I officially miss Fremantle more than anywhere else in Perth.

Well anyway, just wanted to say.. have a rad weekend guys!

how're you? i'm uninspired.

I'm suffering from a bad case of writer's block. I can't seem to even score one sensible sentence without it sounding like an eight year old's take on a little known subject say.. politics? That i reckon could have easily been a much better job. Not nice.

My only inspiration (or the lack thereof) to counter this painful mindlessness is the decision to go pictorial for a bit until some madness befall me. When my head spins from the magical gush of inspiration and fireworks, we'll speak of Christmas, my life-changing trip to Indonesia and what else if not the much anticipated new year which by the way is looking like a cave of precious treasures from where i am at present.

This year has been a tragic one for many of us if not all. Guess it's safe to say that the mishap army might just send a few more soldiers in so let's buckle up and fight the war to stay positive. I haven't come to a confident conclusion of why that is so and i'm beginning to suspect that the economic crisis is anything but a legitimate reason. Can't be too sure of that either.

Good to know that the days are numbered. I am in the process of gathering a few ideas for the new year and actively working on my resolutions. I won't forget to share that with you beautiful people before the year comes to a close. Let's all look forward and march into the new year with courage and hope.

just to let you know..

I am back and sticking around this time! To celebrate, posting what rocks my world and makes me happy, my breakfast.
This was to be put up weeks ago but here it is now: Raisin scone, strawberry jam, EBT.

And for a startling update, Jennifer from Simply Breakfast is still posting! Take a minute and have a peek at the new shots from Paris (if you love food and more so breakfast, just the way i do).

Enjoying the luxury of sleep at the moment, 3 months worth. Readjusting back into my old life is as overwhelming as it is with the former work schedule. For a start, oh god, all the errands to run. Most of which i must say are so very urgent because i never found the time to attend to them during those hectic months.

Probably a third of the people i love, miss, wants to see and catch up with have already made dates with me and it's scattered all over the month. I also owe birthday dates with the April babies and now just about to get round planning for mine.. and Yas. And i don't have to remind you about my working on that uni admission, almost a wrap but not quite yet.

May is a handful. Could've been easier if i was willing to compromise my hours of sleep so i'm prepared to work around it. Not complaining.

Ahh.. Gleefully blogging.

Thank you for the well wishes and sweet words, friends! It's really coming together and looking back, it was all hardwork right from the beginning, starting with trying to convince myself and my folks that this can work out.

I researched, attended international university fairs, got in touch with school representatives, did my sums.. A handful, really. Maybe even more. I enjoy watching it all fall into place now and have been daydreaming way too much for my own good too.

It's saddening that i can't find time to blog much. I bet you know how happy i am when i am here, blogging. I want to check in as often as i used to. Share my breakfasts and interesting finds, post randomly, upload pictures..

But all that won't happen till next month when work subsides. For now, all my time is consumed by work and the rest i need for it. I'll keep things moving here as much as i can but apologize if you hit to find nothing in weeks.

I'll be back (as in officially back and blogging) next month. Till then, enjoy all of April!

university admission part II: officially accepted!

I am officially accepted! And will start my new life as a new person, in a new place, a new school. I will meet new people, experience new things, all in a new setting. And all by myself.

I will learn so much and try so many things an island (also known as a 'country') cannot offer.

That's going to be one hella adventure.

It's finally raining and oh i miss the rain. Just looking out the window and smelling the rain is therapy on a whole new level already. I am so tempted to get Yas out of bed for a stroll in the rain with me.

My dears, we all have good weeks and bad ones. The last couple of weeks has made me much less of a warrior and honestly, i am tired and not feeling much like myself. For the many of us who were never born a positive person, cultivating it isn't the simplest thing to accomplish. Very much like fighting a war within yourself. I am so determined to keep charging forth and get through this tough time. Go over the hedge and emerge victorious.
